Beautiful environment! Enjoying the outdoors is easy in Tennessee. One of the most popular outdoor attractions in this state is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Gatlinburg. Hiking, fly fishing, and simply taking in the gorgeous views are a few activities you can enjoy there. This state also has the picturesque Tennessee River Gardens, as well as the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park.

Amusement parks! There are plenty of places to have fun in Tennessee. Choose from Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Go USA Fun Park in Murfreesboro, and Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park in Chattanooga, to name some of the most popular options here.

Golf courses! Thanks to the great weather, you can golf almost anytime in this state. Check out the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, which incorporates the local wetlands near the Cumberland River. You should also visit WillowBrook Golf Club in Manchester if you want to golf under the shade of the willow trees.

Low median home cost! As you will see from Tennessee home listings, the houses here are quite affordable. The median price is about $119,000, which is $50,000 less than the average in the US. If you're looking for a great deal, check out Memphis or Chattanooga, both of which have lots of homes under $100,000.

Museums galore! Gatlinburg's Guinness World Records Museum shows off impressive exhibits that you wouldn't believe until you see them in person. The Cotton Museum gives you a glimpse of an important piece of Tennessee's history, while the Elvis Museum in Pigeon Forge honors the King of Rock and Roll.

Low property taxes! The low taxes here perfectly complement the low house prices. You can expect to pay about $7 for every $1000 of value, which is a refreshing change from the US average of $12. Cities like Knoxville and Jackson have some of the lowest property taxes, so look in neighborhoods near there if you want to save some money.

Visit local landmarks! There are some attractions you can't miss in Tennessee, and one of them is the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, where you can see an amazing live show. There's also Elvis Presley's Graceland in Memphis, where you can tour the former residence of the King himself.

Water fun! Tennessee may be landlocked, but there are still a few water-based attractions. You can head to Chattanooga for a serene cruise on the Tennessee River. The same city features the Tennessee Aquarium. When you want to cool off in warm weather, Dollywood's Splash Country should do the job.
