The largest city and the capital of Arkansas, Little Rock is the county seat of Pulaski County. The city is located in the center of Arkansas. Its name derives from a small rock formation on the south bank of the Arkansas River.
Fort Smith:
The second largest city in Arkansas, Fort Smith is one of the two county seats of Sebastian County. The city lies on the Arkansas-Oklahoma state border. It is well known for its role in the settling of the “Wild West” and its law enforcement heritage.
Fayetteville is a city in Washington County. It is known as the “Track Capital of the World”, being the home of the University of Arkansas’ track and field program which has won 42 national championships to date.   The city was also among the top ten best places in America for Business and Careers in 2008.
